Biography

Derek grew up in Atlanta, Georgia playing drums for his father and other bands at honky-tonks, trucker bars, and dives across the south. After moving to Amsterdam in 2007, he ventured out from behind the drumkit and began singing originals and playing guitar live. Although he has resided in Europe most of his adult life, there is still a strong taste of the south in his lyrics and overall sound...which can be heard on his debut EP “117" and his latest full length album "Songs in GA." You can currently catch him performing solo and with bands at venues and bars across Norway.
